Here’s Where You Can (Still) Buy Hand Sanitizer Online

Karina Hoshikawa

From working at home to wearing protective face coverings when we do need to go outside, the COVID-19 pandemic has required all of us to adjust to a new normal. While the CDC continues to recommend thorough, regular handwashing practices, as a result of the current state of things, products like antibacterial wipes and hand sanitizer have also been among the hardest-to-find items nowadays.

Well, if you’re wondering where you actually can still buy hand sanitizer online, you’re not alone. While many options are sold out on Amazon Prime and other major retailers, if you do a lot of digging (most of which we’ve done for you already!), you can still add a bottle or two to cart if you move quickly. If you live near a pharmacy or big-box store like Walmart, you may also be able to buy online and pick up in store, pending stock. That said, many places may only have bulk or office-sized options in stock, so if you absolutely need a rinse-free formula, you may end up paying, well, more than $5 for it. Here are some places to consider.

Clean beauty purveyor Herbivore just launched their hand sanitizer, Hand Hero, which is infused with skin-care ingredients like hyaluronic acid and soothing aloe vera to help soothe dry hands. (Choose from two scents, Pink Grapefruit or Lavender.)

What’s more, Pipette is donating 21,000 32 oz bottles to healthcare professionals at various hospitals including (but not limited to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals (Oakland and San Francisco), UCLA and Cedars Sinai in Southern California and Elmhurst Hospital, Mount Sinai, St Francis and New York-Presbyterian Hospitals in New York.
